Valve Officially Removes Major Sticker Capsules from the Store

Ahead of the Major in Cologne, the developer of CS2 finally released brand-new stickers. But this time with a significant changes, which completely change the course of this game's story.

So from this event, Valve removes sticker capsules. Now you need to have a token to purchase a certain sticker. Sticker prices are dynamic and will increase as demand goes up. To protect buyers from sudden price drops, Valve has introduced a partial refund system: if a sticker's price falls by more than 25 tokens within 24 hours of your purchase, you will automatically be refunded the difference in tokens. 

In their FAQ, Valve gives an answer to question about sticker prices set: "The prices of all stickers depend on relative demand. This means that if one sticker is purchased disproportionately more than another, its price will go up and the other sticker's price will go down. After a large number of stickers are sold, all sticker prices will update (you'll get a warning if you're shopping when this is about to happen). The prices in tokens you see are the same prices for everyone worldwide".

• Paper — 63 tokens = $0.63

• Foil — 312 tokens = $3.12

• Holo — 1297 tokens = $12.97

• Gold — 3890 tokens = $38.90

Nuance: If you buy a pass, you get 900 tokens for 780 UAH ($18.14), which equals ~$0.020 per token. Likely, a certain amount of tokens will be rewarded for completing the Pick'Em (+300, as suggested in chat).

Then, it turns out there are 5 options:

• Guessed 0 stages (keeps 900 tokens for $18.14) = $0.020 per token

• Guessed 1 stage (1200 tokens for $18.14) = $0.015 per token

• Guessed 2 stages (1500 tokens for $18.14) = $0.012 per token

• Guessed 3 stages (1800 tokens for $18.14) = $0.010 per token

• Guessed 4 stages (2100 tokens for $18.14) = $0.009 per token

Craft Your Own Souvenir

This new feature is exciting. Now, anyone can take any normal or Souvenir quality weapon in your inventory and select a completed match and one of the players. You'll get your weapon back in Souvenir quality with gold team, autograph, and map stickers applied. Before you will finally complete this craft, you have a chance to look at it. So Valve gives players freedom and anyone can pick the best option.

IEM Cologne 2026 Pick'Em Challenge

Here, Valve doesn't make any changes in Pick'em Challenge. Purchase and activate a Cologne 2026 Viewer Pass, and you'll receive a 2026 Cologne Major Challenge Coin. Play the Pick'Em Challenge to upgrade your Challenge Coin from Bronze to Silver, Gold, or Diamond, and with each upgrade, you'll get 300 tokens that you can redeem for the stickers or souvenirs of your choice. 

Valve changes Sticker Revenue Distribution

The final, but not least, change, which the developer of CS2 brings this Major is sticker revenue. Now, the 50% of sticker revenue shared with teams, 5% will be retained by the tournament organizer, while the remaining 45% will be allocated to teams based on their placing in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
